The own distribution centre of Van der Helm - Hudig in Moerdijk is a very popular location for distribution to the European market because of its perfect location between the seaports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. The central location makes it easy to use various forms of transport: road transport, rail transport, inland navigation or aviation are all within reach. This makes the distribution throughout Europe much easier. The storage space has a total surface area of is 40,000m2 and an internal height of 14 metres. The centre consists of 8 compartments and has a total capacity of about 80,000 pallets. The hub became operational at the end of 2007 and uses the most advanced equipment. Goods are monitored 24 hours a day, according to safety level 4; the highest level on the international standard for security.
